My new Sky router SR213 has arrived. I want to set it up before the fibre arrives on monday.
LAN changes done, Log-in password changed. Now it is time to set up my DDNS. The trouble is I can't find it anywhere!
Could some kind soul tell me where to access it please?
I need it for Home Assistant as I believe Sky don't do fixed IP addresses.

Most domestic ISPs haven't offered fixed IP (even as an extra cost option) for years: there just aren't enough IPv4 addresses around.

Unfortunately, the SR213 doesn't support DDNS services. An alternative is to run a DDNS service on the home assistant computer.

No DDNS that's a bit pants! Do Sky offer a fixed IP then?

Sky doesn't offer fixed public IP addresses either. But if the home assistant is on a variety of *nix then DDNS update clients are readily available.

I had one with Plusnet, no problem!
Is there a go to Asus router model that folk can recommend?
I know that my trusty TP-link VR2800 can't be used sadly, as it has a built in VPN server amongst other useful things.

What type of broadband service are you on FTTC (VDSL2) or full-fibre?

FTTP Full fibre 300
The router they have sent is the SR213, so any other router that has the DHCPv4 Option61 included should work I believe.

Indeed, the majority, if not all, of the Ethernet Asus routers support DHCP Option 61 and DHCPv6 PD. Examples of routers that are known to support these features include the Asus XT8, XT9, and ET12 Pro. The XT8 and XT9 offer tri-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), while the ET12 Pro provides tri-band wireless Wi-Fi 6E (802.11axe) 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz.

Thanks for that information. I'm not concerned about WiFi perfomance as I have a mesh system that works really well and have no to ditch it.
So any compatable router will do!
I'll look into those you suggested, they more than likely have ddns!

Yes, all those mentioned support DDNS client updates in the routers.
