Current wait for new install?

Hi All,

I have recently moved into a property and need both broadband and TV installed.

As a new customer what sort of wait time should I expect?

I am more worried about Broadband to be honest as my phone hotspot is serving  me well but my 4G signal is a bit patchy.

Many thanks in advance.

For broadband over FTTC, typically a minimum ten working days from the ISP placing the order with Openreach until it reaches the top of an Openreach workflow.  Potentially longer if the address is being provisioned using FTTP.

For television: depends how busy the local Sky person is.

Thank you for this. I am looking at ultrafast plus  so will be FTTP.

Just a quikc followup question. If the sky Q TV is installed before the internet I assume we will be able to watch the channels but have no access to anything internet based on the box?

FTTP lead time will reflect where the local fibre is now, the path it will follow and the availability of the specialist Openreach teams required to get it to an ONT.

The BT Wholesale checker here should give an indication (ignore the reference to ADSL in the address):
