Hello!
I am upgrading from the lowest speed broadband to ultra fast and was told a conversion kit would be dispatched between 3-5 days (from 26/08) - I have not yet received the package nor received a notification. Any idea?

The conversion kit is a fancy name for a 3ft category 5e ethernet cable . If you still haven't rec'd it before activation you can get one of currys for a few pounds

That requires the installation of an optical cable all the way to the outside of your property, and then its entrance inside (typically through a newly-drilled hole) to an ONT (Optical Network Terminal). The 'conversion kit', as @cookiemonsteruk indicates, is a simple network cable to go between the ONT and the WAN port on a Sky Broadband Hub, and has no role at all until Openreach have carried out this physical work, which may well have a significant lead-time.
If there's already an ONT at the address, any Cat5 (or better) ethernet cable will be fine at any practical length.
