I upgraded from Sky Boost to Sky Max and my Neet protect smoke detectors stopped working.
go into My Sky app, go to advanced settings, disable wifi and reduce everything to 2.4 GHz as Nest protect is not compatiable with 5 GHz band.
Connect you Sky Boost modem back up and reconnect Nest protect to your old wifi.
once connected, swap the router back.
Delete the Nest app and reinstall it again.
it will now pick up the Nest protect and configure to the new wifi automatically and it will now all work.
These are the steps I took, however some technical folks may jump in and say certain steps are not needed

Sorry forgot to add, once connected, you can go back into My Sky and set everything back to how it was configured.
one additional step I took was to set security to WEP2, after setting everything up, I switched it back to WEP3T
