Constant internet issues since end of contract

In what seems like the worlds least coincidental timing, ever since my contract ended I have had internet issue which is causing an absolute issue as I work from home.

my contract ended and I have switched to fibre which is being installed on the 25th, have had 3 visits prior to this with engineers outside the house dealing with a blockage (all doing the same thing but not telling each other). No idea what they did or fixed as not managed to catch them.

i go on the sky website and it says I'm not getting the speed required and to do check, but when I click this it says an engineer is booked. So is this sky saying they have found an issue and won't sort it til they install fibre? I'm having to use my phone to work at the moment and can't watch half the channels on the tv as no internet (lights on the router says internet but no devices connected work, tried 3 laptops and all say no internet). I will obviously write an official complaint but can anyone think of what could be the issue, would sky have made changes to my account ready for the fibre install on the 25th or the fact I have the new box delivered and had people faffing outside the house mean I need to start using it? any ideas would be amazing as at this rate I'll have another day off working off my phone network which is less than ideal.
