Constant disconnections for over a week now...

Most nights for over a week now my router has been disconnecting at 2am and 4am, checking through the logs my router is now thinking it is 55 years in the past... What on earth are you doing? What compensation are you offering to affected customers and how much longer will this issue persist?

Re: Constant disconnections for over a week now...

Additionally... Why does my router have an active VOIP service? I do not use any such service so what exactly is happening?

This is beyond weird.

@TickleMyMary there has been an issue where a faulty firmware update caused hubs to reboot overnight. That has been picked up and appears to be sorted.

All Sky broadband services come with a landline phone service which is on a pay-as-you-go system so costs nothing if you dont use it. Openreach are switching off the old copper analogue voice services in the next couple of years so the voice service is now delivered digitally via a connection on the Sky hub. This is not a VOIP service as such as it uses standard analogue hand sets.

@TickleMyMary If you happen to have the SR203 Sky Broadband Hub which is black in colour and stands upright, then your landline phone is delivered as a Digital Service indicated by the 4th light on the hub marked as voice with a green led, and the phone is plugged into the back off the hub's ATA adapter.

The date on re-boot of the hub always returns to 1970 start until the ntp time server sync, TR069 wget failed error is the issue that hopefully sky are getting rid off or fixing, normal is for 3 TR069 entries that indicates sky's grab to see how the system is on the daily check!
