Connection dodgy and speed rubbish

 I have recently moved into another new room and watching sky via a Q box not the main as this was installed before extension. I now have major connection issues although only being a room away and frequently my box will not connect. My broadband speed is also rubbish and although on the app within sky when I check it says I am connected at 27mps. An independent app says I am running at 0.77 mps. I am currently connected via my phone network as it's too painful with sky broadband tonight .
I have tried using a

n expensive mesh network but as it was not a sky product the a box hated it and it didn't work correctly I am not sat paying over a 100 quid a month for a service that isn't worth half taht and am seriously thinking of cancelling the lot .

@Jf1664   Please can you post your router stats so the forum can advise on any issues. This link explains how to do that https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband/How-to-find-your-Sky-Broadband-router-stats/td-p/2855717#

Urgent Notice for Sky+ users: as of 29th October 2024 you will no longer be able to pair your viewing card to a Sky+/Sky+HD box that the card is not already paired to, so if your Sky box breaks you cannot replace it and you'll need to move to either Sky Q, Sky Glass or Sky Stream to access Sky content

Re: Connection dodgy and speed rubbish

I have decided to look elsewhere as I am Rural and internet is an issue no matter the supplier.

Starlink is inbound so I will switch to this , leave Sky broadband and the multi box option as I never use the second one now. I do need to get my sky moved though, how do you go about this , use sky or independant contractors?

@Jf1664

Get what moved?

If you want to leave Sky broadband for Starlink then you simply need to contact Sky and ask to cancel the broadband outright

If you want to remove Sky Q multiroom then you just need to call Sky and ask to cancel that part of your subscription.
