Connecting landline to router

Broadband currently working ok, but router was placed in the attic by SKy Engineer to ensure wifi available all through house (large bungalow), if I understand correctly when BT switch off current landline system will have to plug landline phone into router. I am right if so what do i do

That's really an inappropriate location, as you've discovered: one potential solution is to attach a DECT base station to the Hub, and then use wireless phones.

Note that the current target for the end of PSTN is December 2025.
