Connecting an Omada OC200 to a Sky Max Hub
Hello!
we have had Sky Q with Superfast broadband for several years and a couple of years ago we set up a TP Link Omada OC200 and several EAP245 units around the house as the Sky Q mini boxes weren't doing the trick. The OC200 was connected by Ethernet directly to the router
This solution has worked perfectly since, but this week we changed to a Sky Max hub (also on Superfast broadband), and it won't seem to recognise the Ethernet connection on any of the ports. It recognises another Ethernet device on the ports but not the OC200. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this to work?

Re: Connecting an Omada OC200 to a Sky Max Hub
@Conti the device discovery on the Sky Max hub can be unreliable but the TP-Link unit shoukd receive an IP address from the new unit on its WAN input and operate as before if the ethernet connection is made correctly.
Currently I have a similar set up with a TP-Link Deco unit connected to my Sky Max hub. The Deco unit is not listed as attached but it works and the list includes device using the Deco connection.

Re: Connecting an Omada OC200 to a Sky Max Hub
@Chrisee thank you very much for replying!
I will give it another go tomorrow, but it doesn't seem to register at all and doesn't connect to the net. When I connect it back to the old router it connects with no problem.
When I look on the LAN connection section in the router menu, it shows the port as unassigned regardless of which I plug it into. Do I understand correctly that yours does the same even though it still connects?

Re: Connecting an Omada OC200 to a Sky Max Hub
@Conti my Deco M4 unit is set to operate in access point mode and is connected to one of the three LAN Ethernet ports (I have full fibre so port 4 is used as the WAN port) but the My Sky list of devices normally doesnt show the Deco or its two satellites but does include devices connected to them.
Not quite sure why your unit is not conecting but check you are connecting to the WAN (input port) on the second router and it is either set to get the IP address from the Sky hub or is set to use an address in the 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254 range.

Re: Connecting an Omada OC200 to a Sky Max Hub
Thanks again @Chrisee !
I have checked on your suggestions and sadly no joy. I also checked that all the devices involved in my Omada network are up to date on firmware.
It still has no luck connecting to the sky router so I think I will have to contact Sky.
i do have a third party TP Link that I will also try
