Are you in the uk or ireland?
What budget?
What are the requirements ie gaming or just better wifi coverage?
Do you wish to retain your sky internet calls?

Would better to retain the sky hub for your telephone service and disable the wifi then set up any of the following as in access point mode
Asus rt ax56u
Asus rt ax58u
Etc etc .
All asus rt ax routers above rt ax56u have aimesh functionality which means you can cover the whole house or just a few rooms with wifi

Thank you for your help. I assume just plug in and go then re connect the devices to the new WiFi?

Slightly more complicated but not by much
Ethernet the chosen asus to the sky hub and sequentially upgrade the asus firmware until it stops
Remove sky hub and plug asus into the ont
Next find "client identifier (option 61)" and enter
anything@skydsl|anything
Kinda like skys way of authenticating with their servers

@roey19 good point above . If you have sky q tv it will only connect to the 2.4ghz band of a 3rd party router

@cookiemonsteruk ok that should still be fine as the new router will make the broadband run faster and cover more area would I need to change the setting of the 3rd party to allow this

Apologies for replying to an old post. But are you able to just use the Sky broadband hub for the calls with the Wi-Fi off and a replacement router for the broadband?
