Christmas is ruined for my eldest!

So both the teenagers got ps5's for Xmas. First one connected to WiFi no problem, second one will only connect via Ethernet cable even when it's next to the router due to slow speed. We've reset the router. Tried at different times of the day. Do you think it will be working tomorrow if there are less people using the WiFi?

@LF82 Would not think so, have you rulled out that it is NOT the PS5 with the issue, trying one at a time would be the way to do that!

Yes tried one at a time. It connects using the cable just not on WiFi. Is there a limit to how many devices you can have on one router?

@LF82 Depending on the sky Hub model yes, and it's around the 64 items mark, but the issue may be having two identical PS5 models on the same home Internet, and one on wireless and the other on wired is not the issue, if anything the wired should be way better connected!

Technically we've now got three in the house. Hubbys is wired (disc model) daughters is digital and WiFi, sons is disc model and will only connect on wired, his room is upstairs so don't really want to put a mile of cable through the house if I don't have to.

@LF82 Now it is becoming clearer, the lack of wireless wifi signal at the PS5, also what speed package do you have? You can try powerline Ethernet for the PS5 up in the bedroom and see how it goes connection and speed wise, will be a little slow downlloading games to it, but general working should be fine!

The daughters PS5 connects through my Asus mesh but did have to stick an AP right outside her bedroom for the connection and she does it all wireless, Picture when cleared for viewing that is what she is at currently...

@LF82 Pictures have to be cleared for general viewing, but will take a look when they become available, FF150 you are sure stretching the limit if it all get's busy at the one time!

That's why i went FF500 from a FTTC 40/10 split, to make sure enough headroom, and have seen sustained at 200Mb/s when external network got real busy which obvious i have zero control over that fact! Good thing FF500 stopped the wife/daughter arguing it was blue murder on the 40/10 split....

I've just upgraded to FF500 will be activated tomorrow. I ll check the history now. Will I still need a booster do you think?

@LF82 I would say yes, if it's the correct way to go who knows that one, but sure looks like your wireless wifi signal is just not reaching were the PS5 needs it to be, as you are sky Max do you have the boost supplement on your billing? Don't use sky Max never have and never would just not for me!
