Channel 4 Error code 4404 & BBC Iplayer not working after switching my broadband hub

So i received a new broadband hub as i still had one of those square boxes, and i was renewing my broadband contract anyway , so decided to get new sky hub

I only have broadband with sky, no sky tv just to clarify.


So i plugged it all in, reconnected all my devices and it works fine, or so I thought. 

My smart tv has built in apps for Netflix, Amazon prime etc and they all work fine .

 

Apart from free play which contains bbc iplayer and channel 4 and others -  and for the life of me I can't figure out why they stopped working after plugging in the new hub. I get error that there is a network problem and that's it. I can't move on any further. I checked my phone apps and also through website for channel 4 and bbc and they work fine. So not quite sure why the problem appeared just on my tv ? Anyone has any ideas what I can do to try and fix this ?

Try disabling your Sky Shield if its enabled

4401-NETWORK-FILE  what is this, I'm new to sky and I can't watch channel 4 on demand,, it allows the adverts to play but then just as the programme is about to begin, all I get is that message and there's nothing out there to help solve it 😞 does anyone have any suggestions? or should I cancel my sky and go back to Vodafone?

@Crizza thst error is not related to your Sky broadband but is generated by the app. What Sky TV system do you buy Sky Stream, Sky Glass or Sky Q? If the first two try the App refresh option in the Reset section of the settings menu.

I'm having this same issue with bbc iPlayer, working on my phone but not tv, everything else on tv working but getting an error code when trying to watch bbc iPlayer. Got my sky broadband today, can't seem to figure it out. Did anyone find out why this problem is?

@Trinity6 this doesnt appear to be an issue connected with Sky Brosdband instead it is an issuecwith the app running on your TV.

It definitely is, because when connected to my mobile data it works but when connected to my sky internet it doesn't work and comes up with the error. But every other app in my tv works.

@Trinity6 there is nothing obvious causing the issue but try powering down the Sky hub for an hourcwhich should changecthe IP address whiich coukd possibly be the issue.
