Changing LAN IP subnet address

Hello!
I hope someone on here can help me.

I've just phoned Sky Broadband help for this. First guy was useless & had no clue what I was talking about & just transfered me to someone else without saying anything.
Second woman was lovely, very honest & explained that this issue isn't something that is in their training.

So. My mum has been working from home. Her system is now not connecting to my WiFi.
4 other works colleagues with sky have also had the same issue.
Apparently my IP address is too similar to their work one & the system isn't recognising when the laptop is being used in the office or at home.
So her tech team guy at work said that we need to contact sky and have the LAN IP subnet address changed.

I'll be honest and say tech confuses the hell out of me & I have no idea what this is all about.

Can any of you explain how this can be done? Is it something I can do (with proper instructions) or is it only something Sky can do?

Thank you in advance 👍

@LittleKezza

Lan ip subnet can be changed on the router via advanced->lan ip set up

----------------------------------------------------
Sky Stream , Sky Superfast, SR203 router, Tp link td w9970 + Asus RT AX58U (backup), Xbox Series X, google home mini, LG 55 inch uhd tv, with Dolbyvision, samsung a5 2017 and samsung s21

If I get it right mark as answered
If I get it wrong humour me
If I say something you like give a thumbs up

@LittleKezza by default Sky routers use an IP range of 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.254. You can change that by logging onto your hub by typing 192.168.0.1 into a browser go to Advanced menu - you will be asked to log in  the user is admin and the password will be sky or the wifi passcode on the label depending on the model.

On the LAN IP setup page change the 192.168.0.1 for the IP address to 192.168.1.1 and do the for the starting    and  ending IP addresses so they read 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.254 then press apply the router will restart you will lose your connection. To access the hub in the future you will need to use 192.168.1.1 of course.

Shame your mum's employer's IT support used one on the most commonly used address ranges by domestic ISPs (Sky are the second largest in the UK) rather virtually any other they could have chosen - somewhat amateurish.
