Re: Change broadband channel

@Skystreamuser you will find that it is a common feature on newer routers that caan use the higher 5GHz channels. It is something forced by the need to mert regulation.

Nice feature" then, can't manually adjust the setting to meet your needs.

My internet is constantly dropping down during the day making work from home and online meeting with customers a nightmare, changing to low crowded channel would be a possible solution but no! Hub knows better.

Re: Change broadband channel

Well said mate.

To the ones writting unhelpful, condensending, presumptious answers like: "get ethernet", "why would you need to change the settings" etc: sorry to say but you need to rethink your mindset to technology, or just stick to Windows, GUIs, and configuring printers.

Removing and option from the user is never to the user's benefit. Not everyone is scared of popping the hood and learning how to diy tech.

You _can_ get stuck hoping between bands killing performance. The hoping has hysterisis logic but get 2 devices in Goldilocks and boom you got it.

Picking a band manually eliminates the problem. I dont want to set up ethernet for all computers at home, maybe when i renovate i will.. but for now telling someone to "install wiring to devices or get poor wifi" is not a useful answer. This should be a user option not an obligation.

In this case: to allow for higher bands the router needs to be on automatic in order to comply with standards. I get that. *So let me choose a fixed lower band _only_ and then I wont interfere with radar*. Not rocket science is it?
