@Patsy21 unles it is a very old model you should not have to as the models sold in the last 4 years connect to a dualband SSID. The issue can simply be range bring the doorbell inside and connect it therecthen try it outside.
If you have the old black hubs use these instructions Split Sky WiFi bands.
Thecwhite hubs do not allow splitting instead using the My Sky app turn off tge 5GHz bands connectvthe device and re-enable the 5GHz band. Settings are in the Advanced settings area for the hub in the My Sky app
