Cannot make calls on house phone but I can receive calls

Hi, in the last few months my house phone stopped being able to make calls, but oddly I can receive calls just fine. When I try to call it plays a consistent noise and it doesn't do alternating beeps like you would expect when ringing.

I have tried changing the cable in case it was damaged but that didn't fix it. Every house phone does the same thing. I could try buying a new phone hub but I don't want to waste money if that won't do any good.

I have tried all the Sky Talk "fix-phone-problems-start" suggestions but no luck.

Any suggestions or help would be very appreciated.

I enabled Sky Talk Shield and now it works. I am unsure if this is a red herring, but I also noticed that the "Sky Talk" settings area on my account kept showing "oops something went wrong" and I had to refresh the page to get it to show to enable the shield.

Very strange. I'm confused and maybe it'll stop working at some point.

I'll try disabling the shield and see if the problem comes back.
