Trying to get to the admin page to be able to login to my Sky router. Always being redirected to myrouter.io. Then error messages "This site can't be reached." Then another msg "Your connection is not private" after I put www in front of myrouter.io. I have a black vertically standing Sky router. Using Windws 10 and Chrome. Help. Thank you.

The correct address is 192.168.0.1
Can you post a screenshot of what you see when trying to access that?

Hi. I found out yesterday I cannot get help from the experts in the Chat because I live in Italy and do not have a UK account number. I have an account in Italy. Totally different. So now I still have the same problem. With no resolution. As I said before if I type in 192.168.0.1 in Chrome I am redirected to myrouter.io and as a result I get an error msg that states "This site can't be reached etc" (see attachment. then if I try to go to www.myrouter.io , I get another error msg "Your connection is not private". Obviously because it is trying to go to http instead of https. So if there is anyone out there that can provide some help or suggestions I thank you.

But with broadband in the UK?

No. With SKY Italia. Shouldn't make a difference should it? Routers are the same and the procedure has always been the same. i.e. Type in 192.168.0.1 in Chrome and then login to your router.

Certainly makes a difference when hoping to talk to a call centre...
Do other web browsers bring up the same result? Google tends to be stricter about enforcing SSL.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt could be that Sky Italia are now using routers where the configuration is done via an app? That is the case with the newer UK routers.

Do you have a third party AV or other security program installed? I get no such error accessing mine from Chrome or any other browser.
In any case, if you click the advanced tab when presented with the error, you should be able to override it.

Thank you all for your responses. TimmyBGood: Yes I have had the same results on my WIN 10 pc using Chrome, MS Edge and DuckDuckGo. I have also had the same results on my smartphone using Chrome and also for DuckDuckGo. However I have found that using DuckDuckGo on my smartphone and pressing the checkmark on the virtual keyboard after entering 192.168.0.1 I finally am presented with the admin login page for the router. If I select the 192.168.0.1 from the list of addresses displayed under the search bar then I am not presented with the admin login. I am throroughly confused now.

I have a black router SR203. I have heard that the new white routers can be controlled through your smartphone but I did not see nor hear of anything about the black routers also being controlled by your smartphone. Also see my response to tommyBGood Thank you.

UPDATE: I have just successfully used DuckDuckGo on my Android tablet to get the admin login page for my router to display. Once again, I must type in the IP address and then press the checkmark key on the virtual keyboard for this to work. I tried using Chrome on the tablet (IP address then press the checkmark key) the same way and it gives me multiple listings of how to login to my admin router page through various means.
