Cannot access the security tab or any tabs on the sky hub. 401 unauthorised error appear
Hello,
I am just wanting to check the security of our WiFi. We do not have a smart hub so I followed all the instructions via the app and searched the IP address. I get to the sky hub router admin page and can see details and devices connected but when I try to access the security tab or any other tabs it just comes up with the 401 authorisation error or connection timed out. I literally just want to make sure the WiFi is secure. All the devices listed appear to be recognised and I am probably being over-cautious, the reason being the other day I accidentally clicked on a phishing link on my laptop. I shut the browser and WiFi off from my device as soon as possible and it hasn't been connected to the internet since. Could this error just be being caused by firewall or security blocks as I am trying to access from my phone? Assuming the WiFi is quite secure as encrypted? Any advice or further steps would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Re: Cannot access the security tab or any tabs on the sky hub. 401 unauthorised error appear
@TConnery by default all black Sky hubs use either WPA2 while the newer white hubs use WPA3-T and are therefore considered secure for domestic use assuming the password or security standard has not been weakened by the user. The log in to access the web interface settings at 192.168.0.1 is username is admin and the oassword is the default WiFi password except for the old flat type of hub which default to sky.
In practice assuming the password has not been shared you are safe to assume your network is secure as hacking of domestic connections is extremly rare as even if hacked the ability to view traffic is restricted as most is encrypted at source..

Hi @Chrisee,
Thank you so much for your response and reassurance. I know I am probably over worrying.
Due to the 401 authorisation error and connection timed out I don't have a chance to log into the admin. As long as secure though - happy to leave as is.
