Renewed contract with Sky , to fibre , due to be connected 17th August , but now there is an issue , apparently with Open Reach, who can't provide connection. Why have sky sold me a service they cant provide ?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Misty010 simply because until Openreach worked out that they could not run a line Sky simply did not know your service wouldn't work. This happens very rarely and happens where running a line will be very expensive, is simply impossible or where the customer declines to have the work done which I assume does not apply here.

If you put your address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker, this may indicate what the issue is.
