Cancelled broadband yesterday but Sky reinstated it today.
I hope someone can help me with this problem or tell me who to complain too?
On the 23rd June 2025 I cancelled my broadband to take effect after the 14 days notice, 8th July and my TV services to end at the contract end 12 August.
On the 24th June I signed up to take Virgin media services to be installed on 15th august.
On the 24th June I received an email from Sky stating ‘As you've requested to switch to another provider, we wanted to let you know we've stopped your recent cancellation request to allow these services to be transferred. If your switch request is cancelled, your services will remain active, and you'll continue to be billed by us, unless you tell us otherwise.’
I do not need broadband between the original cancellation date and the Virgin install.
So I tried to ‘tell them otherwise’ via the chat with an expert.
They told me that they couldn’t stop the broadband reinstatement as my line had been taken over by Virgin.
I believe this to be false as if this was indeed the case why I am being billed £43 a month from Sky for a service I am not going to use?
Any ideas how to stop the reinstatement of the broadband and how to achieve what was originally agreed on 23 June?

@Robby+Mac You cannot have both, if you cancel sky it inhibit's ALL Isp's from taking over as the put a cease on the line. You where then wrong in trying to get the other ISP to take over a ceased line, THAT cannot and is not allowed to happen NO matter what!

Still never found out who to complain to, but the situation is now resolved.
