Cancellation of Broadband, how long do you need?

My 88 yr old mother cancelled a new subscription to Sky broadband on the 5th of March, it is now the 11th of March and it still ahas not been cancelled nor has the cancelleation been forarded to BT who she is going with. She has tried calling many, many times and either gets vut off os acheives zero with thos she speaks to "we'll get that done for you now!" Really? Disgusting service, expecially for a senior citizen, she is exhausted trying to sort this herself.

I called on her behalf, guess what, cannot access the account because I am not her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely terrible service which what I am used to from SKY

@Scoz Did your mother actually call to cancel or did she just sign up with BT and switch?

If she cancelled with Sky then it takes 14 days for that cancellation to fully complete, once done BT will then be able to start the process of actioning a connection which will take around 14 days.

If it was a swith via BT then they should have arranged everything on your mother's behalf and given her an activation date.
