Thank you all. Unfortunately, unlike Simon, I don't have 2 ports leading to the same room which would allow me to connect to WAN from ONT and then connect the router to another port back. In that case, I wouldn't actually need a switch, I'd just connect it directly to the other room.
The switch I mentioned before, Netgear GS305E, supports inter-VLAN routing according to Netgear's support, so fingers crossed that it works and I can configure it with too much hassle. Will keep you posted.
