Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

No, it's not up to Sky, you will be activated on the date provided by Openreach.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Can you get the broadband activated early?

If you are having full fibre installed then the installation needs to be completed first

if you are swapping from another provider then that service has to stop before the sky service can replace it which is why they add the sticker to the box to tell you not to swap them over or you will lose the current working service on their equipment

if there is already a line to the property with no active service then you can plug the router in when you get it and if openreach visit the exchange early to re jumper the ties then you MAY get the service working sooner than expected
