Can't split 2.4GHz and 5GHz to different SSID and can't manually select channel on Sky Max Hub

I had Sky Gigafast FTTP installed today and received the Sky Max hub. I tried logging into the routers control panel through the default IP address to split the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands to different SSID and also change the channel because the 2.4GHz is using the same channel as a wireless speaker in my house which I can't change the channel of

This was a very simple thing I could achieve with my previous Virgin Media Superhub 3 and with my BT hub from over 3 years ago. On the Max Hub portal it says Sky is doing its own automatic optimisation, which isn't even working properly since it's overlapping channels, and tells me to change settings in the My Sky app. I went to the app and the level of control we have there is abysmal. We can do the bare minimum. 

The Sky router control is so bad. PLEASE SKY, just give us the control.

@RB9 to enable the new Wifi Max hub to offer wifi6 speeds the two wifi bands have to be combined If you feel you need more control you would need to buy your own router the range from Asus can be used on Sky lines quite easily.

The SR213 is actually quite smart and is a triband system when used with its pod extenders. It  supports both BandA and BandB  5GHz channels.. This requires the device to  support DFS. Which checks for conflicting high priority users like nearby radar stations before this range can be used.

As @Chrisee indicates, neither of those is an 802.11ax ('WiFi 6') device.

There's no option to split bands on the new WiFi 6 EE Smart Hub either, which will become the standard hardware for BT/EE Ultrafast: this appears to be intrinsic to the technology, as is mandatory  implementation of Dynamic Frequency Selection to enable 160Mhz channel widths.

Edit: it appears the Netgear Nighthawk permits splitting bands (presumably at some performance cost) but I don't know how compatible that is with Sky Broadband: it wouldn't support Sky Talk Internet Calls.

I made a mistake. It was the Super Hub 5, the one with the grey fabric on the front. That supported WiFi 6 and let me split the bands and change channels.

What's the technical reasoning behind that? With my Super Hub 5 I split the bands and the 5GHz one could do over 700Mbps

It appears some WiFi 6 routers will do so, yes, but other ISPs are choosing to have hardware which maximises default performance at the expense of versatility: they probably calculate this leads to more happier customers overall, despite some undoubtedly being annoyed.
