Good Morning, we have Now full fibre 100 powered by sky, we have trouble getting internet in the back bedroom, if you stand by the door you can get internet but if you move inside it drops. We are planning to use this as an office and want to know if sky provide a wifi booster free or something that does the same job? Thank you

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of the legacy 'Broadband Boost' add-on and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell boosters except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Phoning Sky to go through a telephone diagnosis is required to have a booster or pod allocated to the account. Inevitably some Sky booster hardware has leaked onto a certain auction site and elsewhere online, but Sky won't offer support with using these.
Confusingly the default 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' bundled with all new Sky Broadband orders where Boost or Max is not added by the customer doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above plus a one month broadband subscription refund.

Re: Can't get internet in the far bedroom
I have just phoned sky and they told me I can't get a booster fro free, I have to pay £8 a month for a booster or upgrade my broadband, what a joke. So much for the wifi guarantee, should be called Sly broadband.

Re: Can't get internet in the far bedroom
Unfortunately that's correct: as I posted above, booster loan itself is 'free' but only available where a subscription supplement which has other features is in place (and that has an additional monthly cost)

Re: Can't get internet in the far bedroom
@Trishsky now you know that you are not going to get anything free from Sky for internet in the back room, there are a few options open to you, but of course will involve some financial outlay.
1. Powerline plugs which are use your electricity circuit to carry internet. They are generally plug and play. Just looked on ebay and someone is selling 2 x Tenda PH3s (which I use) for £20. They don't work in all household settings because of the wiring and can be prone to interference. I use one in the garage for my Ring alarm and the other is outside in a waterproof box for an underwater streaming camera in my wildlife pond.
2. Mesh system... I started out with a cheap Tenda mesh system. Turned off the WiFi from the hub, plugged in the first mesh node and set it up in bridge mode, and the other node connected wirelessly. Worked great for me on 80/20 speeds.
3. Replace Sky Hub... this will possibly be the most epensive and require a bit of know how to get it up and running.

Thanks for the reply, I'll buy a mesh kit, it will work out cheaper and better in the long run. Thanks for your help

Re: Can't get internet in the far bedroom
So I live in a 3 storey house with a mesh node on each floor all connected using wireless backhaul.
The broadband profile to the ONT is 1000/115 (Aquiss) and the speed at the furthest node on the top floor 673/93 (laptop connected with ethernet cable) and WiFi speed on the top floor 549/81
Moral of the story, a decent mesh system should be able to sort out your signal issues.
