Update. My apps on my android are now able to download and update using WiFi

Yeah the issue now seems to be resolved

After speaking to a completely bewildered member of the specialist broadband team and escalating the issue up to the specialist network team it would seem for the moment all services are up and running again. Let's see if this is "problem solved" Cross yer fingers everyone.
