Re: Can’t connect to octopus home mini
@Charlotte49 all Sky hubs transmit a dualband SSID with both a 2.4GHz and 5GHz signal synchronised. Most devices can connect without issue and simply use whichever band they need. It looks like Octopus have cheapened out and their gizmo has a wifi chip that needs a simple 2.4 GHz signal to connect.
It should be possible to connect it but how you do thst depends on what the colour is of your Sky hub. If its white go into the WiFi settings in the My Sky app and navigatecto Advanced Settings/Disable WiFiand turn off the 5GHz band. Oncecthe hub restarts then connect the gizmo. Once it is connected go back into the settings and turn the 5GHz band back on and hopefully the unit stays connected. If you have a black Sky hub seevthese instructions Split Sky WiFi bands
