Can't connect a smart socket to my network or get into my hub software!

I'm trying to add a a wifi socket to my Internet. I've made several attempts now but can't get it to work. I've tried getting into my settings on the hub but not having success with that either. I've tried a few suggestions from here as in using the IP address but can't get in. Where it says Name & password I've tried what's on the back of the router, doesn't work. I tried my username & password, again no. I tried admin & my hub password, nothing again. what other username & password can I use? This is very frustrating as I've never had trouble adding smart items to my network before.

Re: Can't connect a smart socket to my network or get into my hub software!

Sorry, should have added that. Its a Sky model SR 203, a black rectangular, stand up one (I've had it about 3 years). I did try getting into the software, but when I click WIFI & the sign in box comes up, I put admin & the password from the sky box, & it just clears to start again! I have never changed the password  from the factory setting.
