I'm having issues wifi wifi calling which drops when moving around the house.
I have 2 minis, 1 old style booster for sky q purposes and 2 new max pucks
My Sky 'booster' is connected to:
2.4ghz = SSID matching the main network
5ghz = Different SSID
Do the mini boxes connect to the booster for network services or the booster?
Wondering if switching off the 2.4 on the booster may remove the wifi calling issue?? Id prefer my phone to connect to the wifi puck rather than the booster which I think it is doing from time to time.
Any advice?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@tanddy the new Sky Max hub is not compatable with the older boosters or Q boxes generally. Unlike when you had a black Sky hub the Q boosters and boxes do not act as wifi extenders for other devices. Instead you use the matched extender pods.
It is possible to have interference between the new hub and extenders network and the closed Q network particularly in the 2.4GHz network so your proposal might work but given the restricted range of the 5GHz band you may affect the performance of the Q minis. However it maybe better to try removing the old booster entirely unless it is required to ensure the Q minis stay connected as that is it is only purpose.

Turned off 2.4 and no issues. Still struggling with wifi calling cutting off between max hub and pucks.
