Can I set up an independent Wi-Fi network using the Sky router?

Even when using Sky's Wi-Fi booster, I just can't get a decent signal around the house and consequently have issues when more than 1 of us needs to work online.

Can anyone offer any advice in regard to setting up an independent Wi-Fi network? I'd like to use a separate / additional router with multiple signal boosters riding piggyback off the Sky router. My knowledge is rather limited but hope that this can be done as we're running out of ideas and rather annoyed at having to use 4G phone connection in order to work!

Is this possible at all, and can anyone offer advice or recommend any particular hardware?

You would be best removing the Sky hub from the matter completely by either replacing it or switching its WiFi radios off, then getting a 3rd party mesh system. Something like the TP-Link Deco system or Asus Ai Mesh.
