Can I have two routers at the same time and working in tandem?

So I have a Sky Max router which is attacked to a storage server in my hall. I have also one of those extender things they send you, but these aren't great when I've had the extender attached to the storage server (I do a lot of video editing etc so have a separate storage device which can be very noisy and is kept in the hall attached to the router via ethernet), for long periods of time and when transferring or streaming data as I've noticed they need rebooting (often) and can easily overheat.

Well I'm upgrading to fibre this week and anticipate I'll need the router in the living room now (which is fine in principle), but I wondered if it's possible to have a second Max router work in tandem with the one I already have (basically set up as an extender)?

No you can only use one hub, best option is to invest in a network switch but you would need to run  ethernet cable from the hub to the other room.  Another option could be power line adapters.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
