Can I connect to a Now router that old tennants have left?

Hello - I have just moved house and there are two brand new Now routers that the old tenants have left, I am trying to set up a new account in my name but only have the option to be sent ANOTHER router! is there anyway that I can just set up a new account and connect with one of the existing routers?

Can someone help me? thanks in advance

@Gracicles You can only try, the hubs may be tied to Now and the Customer, are you going with a NOW account, or trying to do sky?

@Gracicles  If the customers have told their provider they've moved there won't be a connection to use, if they have left a live connection it is their resposibility to infirm their provider they have moved as this may affect you setting up an account with SKy.

Now and Sky broadband are the same thing for new customers I just want to cut out having to wait for a new router as I have two here already. Do you know if there is a support number I can call if I'm not a customer yet? Maybe I call the sales line

@Gracicles  This link should help:
(UK) https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number
(ROI) on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.

Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to. Apparently the quieter times to ring are just after 7am or about 9pm.

Sorry I'm not convinced of anything, I wasn't being rude I just get rerouted to sky every time.

@Gracicles Do have a look see, NOW will not talk to anyone regarding the Broadband, they leave it all to sky to deal with that is why!

Hopefully the left equipment has been cancelled, it is all going obsolete shortly so you DO not want any off it and you can get the line done and put to you, sky will know about it with all the now hubs all over the place.

Where the broadband is delivered over FTTP.  That's not the case for G.fast, FTTC or ADSL.
