Can I configure a Sky Max Router that I got from a freind? and How do I obtain a Sky Max Pod?
Morning,
I've just recently upgraded to the Sky Full Fibre and a mate of mine had a spare Sky Max router thar he doesn't use. so I'll be swapping over my existing Sky Hub 4.2 with the Sky Max Router on the 29/5 when my Full Fibre gets activated.
2 questions I have is:
Will I be able to configure my router (Port Forwarding etc, etc,) as I've heard that some settings are locked down on the router and you have to use the 'Mysky app' as I presume the MySky app will only show my existing Sky Hub 4.2 as I didn't obtain the router from Sky.
And my final question is, who do I conatct (if needed) to obtain a Sky Max Pod, as stated earlier, I obtained this router from a mate of mine and not directly from Sky.
Thanks in advance

@aide199a Your friend should not have given the roputer away it is not their property, if they no longer use it for Sky Broadband or have a different provider it needs to be returned to Sky.

The sky max wifi hub
If you want one then you need to contact sky to order one and to set it up you have to scan the q r code that comes with to down load instructions this is then add to your account and costs as I know an extra £10 a month on your broadband bill, and yes your friend if he doesn't use his then he needs to send it back to sky as it is not owned by him only loaned by sky and if he leaves sky he has to send all equipment back

Without being the legitimate user of the Max Hub through having a WiFi Max subscription you will not be able to do either of those things.
