Can I cancel if we can't agree on a cable route?

There is a pole either side of my house, and if the engineer could follow the path of the old line from the closer pole then all would be perfect. It would terminate in a reasonably discreet location, and there would be a double socket on the internal wall.

When arranging a visit as part of the purchase it is mentioned that digging may be necessary. This would not be approved by the land owner. With no way of confirming this before the engineer attends to install, I am reluctant to purchase the fibre broadband as I dont want to caught in a contract I have to "buy out of" should we not agree on the cable route.

Can I cancel at that point? Is there a fee? Does the '14 day cool off' start from pruchase or installation?

Any ideas? Thanks

"Sky broadband customers in the UK have a 31-day cooling-off period, which allows them to cancel their broadband service without penalty within 31 days of delivery of the router, activation, or receipt of the terms and conditions, whichever is later. This is longer than the legally required 14 days. During this period, customers can cancel their service without needing to provide a reason and will not incur early termination charges"

Re: Can I cancel if we can't agree on a cable route?

I couldn't find that , thank you very much.

"Our records show the following FTTP network service information for these premises:-Single Dwelling Unit Residential OH Feed hoist required."

I'm understanding that this would be an over head installation then. Thanks again.

Side note: The "featured products" section states WBC FTTP  : Up to 1000

Is this to say that I could theorectically get 1000mb with fibre installation? Or at least comfortably expect the advertised speeds for the package I purchase?

That means max speed is 1Gbps it doesn't mean you have to go for that

Sky offer 40,80,100,300,500 Mbps or 1Gbps on their full fibre packages

The installed fibre can handle multi-gigabit, but Sky currently offers a maximum of 1Gbs over Openreach circuits.
