You're on ADSL broadband which is the slowest type available. Do you have the option to upgrade to fibre?

@Giggsy1977 They are in FTTC, but a long way away from the green box
@Angusmc2000 What speed would you normally get on your connection as there was a drop over 4 days ago.
If you have found this solution helpful please tick this as the answer.

Re: Buffering all the time , thinking of changing provider fed up
@Angusmc2000 the speeds you are getting are down to the length of the copper phone line from the cabinet to your home. It is worth checking the connection test in the My Sky app as your speeds maybe belowcthe minimum set for your line but honestly whether Openreach will do anything is unlikely.
Until Openreach install full fibre to your home you are stuck unless you have access to a different cabled network like Virgin Media or mobile broadband is an option. If neither are and you have deep pockets Starlink is a possibility assuming you have a clear view of the Sky.
4Mb/s down is just about enough to stream video but buffering is highly likely if there is the slightest issue or someone checks their email, apps like Teams will be an absolute nightmare because your upload speed is under 1Mb/s.
It is worth asking your county or unitsry. local authority if they have plans to improve connectivity in your area as they have access to government funds in a few areas there is a voucher scheme.
