Re: Broadband won’t connect to TV

Having same issues here.

was on to helpline on Saturday and felt I was being interrogated. Almost as if there was no way a Sky technician is needed to call out. Have done all the restarts and here I am struggling to watch the tennis. Keeps stalling, comes up technical error and failure to load. I honestly think Sky service is a disgrace, so poor and very disappointing. Await a call back tomorrow but it is a disgrace. Will be looking for credit and free month as this is not on.

@Rebecca2609 if you have the white Sky hub change the WiFi security setting to WPA2 the setting is in advanced section of the Hub's settings in the My Sky app

More generally streaming video does require a decent stable WiFi signal which isnt guaranteed with a single Sky hub. The layout of your home and how its built control the signal level. Beyond making sure the hub is out in the open and any streaming devices aren't behind the TV you are going to need an extender or similar. Sky can supply these as part of their WiFi Max package see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max

Re: Broadband won’t connect to TV

The engineer set it up on Friday and was all connected. I can't see why it is now a problem? I didn't have a problem with my old router, so I'd rather go back to that or cancel altogether !
I've tried to change it because the price was becoming ridiculous, even though I've been with sky for 16 years. I spent most of Sunday trying to sort it out.
how do I get sky hub?

@Rebecca2609 you are going to have to call Sky and complain.

Re: Broadband won’t connect to TV

I have sent an email complaining but next step will be writing a letter. I got a calll back today  and once again they sought to do a check but as I explained to them I was in the office! I was told to do a complete factory reset and that has failed to complete due to some error!
honestly I think Sky is the Ryanair of broadband and tv!

Re: Broadband won’t connect to TV

@Rebecca2609 You should still have your old sky Hub unless it was so old and is now not compatible with the phone, So if you had the Sky Broadband Hub, same as your white one but black in colour, just connect that up!
