Broadband upgrade and digital voice

Recently tried to cancel an update to my broadband -within 24 hours of agreeing to changing my contract because it seems to be a discreet way of getting you to accept digital voice - telephone.  Digital voice does not work well in this rural area due to poor mobile signal and I intend to decline it until this issue has been resolved. 
However, having spoken to three different advisers, none of them had the 'ability' to cancel this despite promising me it would be resolved within 5-7 days. Open Reach have now contacted me to say they are calling in 2 days time to upgrade my broadband. The last advisor I spoke to said she would pass this issue to the next level.
I'm not sure what part of 'I do not want this' Sky is failing to understand.
