My sky broadband speed is very slow. I've just done another test and the results are as follows:
Response time (latency) 110ms
Download speed 2.6 Mbps
Upload speed 0.6 Mbps
I'm fed up with jumping through the same old hoops on the help pages - I just want a reasonable speed. Help!

Also when I clicked learn more about your speed, it said Sky wasn't able to give speeds for last 7 days because of "potential outtages." How can they be potential if they happened in the last 7 days? And also, please can you tell me what this means? When you bought Sky Broadband Unlimited your estimated download speed was - Mbps.
Does this mean MINUS Mbps, perchance?

Nope, everything fine and dandy according to tests. What now? The sky test didn't even tell me what the speed was.
In that case, you'll need to contact Sky to report the fault. Report it on the basis that your connection speed of 3.8Mbps is significantly lower than Sky told you to expect (which I'm sure must be the case).
Before calling I'd recommend doing the following, as Sky may well ask you to do them anyway while you're on the phone. First check for any hissing/crackling on your landline phone. If there is, report a landline fault, not a broadband problem. Second, plug your router into your master phone socket's test port using a replacement microfilter. This explains how to use the test port. Let them know you've done that.

Thanks for all your help, Mark. I'll phone Sky tomorrow, when I'm well rested and somewhat humanoid. In response to Not11, the router just says Netgear, no apparent model and I think it was made at the very beginning of the universe,
