Broadband router and SIM card.
I phoned sky on Monday to downgrade my sky subscription, I managed to get my broadband price drop because I'm on universal credit. I already have an activated router, but have been sent another (white instead of black) router. Why can't I use the same one and do I have to return the other one.
also at the same time I've been sent a SIM card and emailed a sky mobile contract which I don't want as I have a basic pay as you go Vodafone mobile. Not sure what to do about that. Should I send an email and do I have to return the SIM card. I never wanted a mobile contract.
The lady I spoke to on Monday was very pleasant but I found it difficult to understand her strong Indian accent. Can anyone help.

Sky is actively replacing previous Hub models with the new Max unit. In particular, all Q Hubs need to be removed from use before national PSTN switch-off (although the deadline for that has just slipped from December 2025 to January 2027)

There's a bundle of a Sky Mobile SIM with the social tariff broadband at no additional cost: you don't need to use the SIM if you don't want to.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
