Broadband quote went up £8 overnight!

Called for quote on broadband, think maybe 4th call, was on phone for 1hr 10mins to be told my quote for broadband had gone from £32 to £40 in 12 hours. Been a customer for 19 years... goodbye Sky!

@Fids  Sky only do "take it on the spot " quotes not ones that last a while as you have discovered

Remember Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount, and recent posts on here indicate that significant discounts are much harder to come by. If you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back as you've found out unfortunately.

If you're serious about leaving then to cancel Sky Broadband and Sky Talk totally, or if you’re moving to a provider like Virgin Media or City Fibre etc who don’t use the Openreach set up, you'll have to contact Sky and give the required notice of 14 days. This link may help https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-broadband

If you are changing to another provider who also uses the Openreach infrastructure then join up with them and they should contact Sky on your behalf.

Return packaging for any equipment Sky expect back will be sent out to you near the end of the notice period. Remember to keep any proof of posting indefinitely.

Ironic thing is I was on £38 until July 2025, yesterday quoted £32 and today the lady was charging £2 more than my quote until next year! Very unprofessional and not a company I want to give custom to anymore, don't know how they get away with it.
