With broadband packages provided by Sky, the price is inclusive of landline or VoIP telephone service built into the price.

Terrestrial broadband requires a data bearer cable (copper or optical) and that's what was previously referred to as a 'landline': any rental charge for this is bundled into the monthly broadband subscription.  Whether or not it carries voice traffic is different: Sky provisions a Pay as you Talk 'phone' service as standard, so if you don't make calls using it there's no additional charge.

Re: Broadband only

If you are in a Full Fibre enabled area you make calls via the internet's so don't have a true phone line, if you have Fibre to Cabinet, you have to have a phone line, of course you don't have to use it...

@CliversYou still don't have to use your phone line via internet calls either. If that is the case then the OP can go on pay as you talk and thus not incure any call charges as the line rental is bundled with your broadband now.
