Have brough a micro filter and have plugged the broadband end into the 'modem' part and the purple end into the purple broadband connection on the hub, and still no luck.

Are you a new sky customer or did they send out the hub to replace an older hub?
When is your activation date?

It could be a failed activation in which case you would need to call sky

@Robbi A lot depends on the specific wiring of the master socket, and the type you have would normally be for connecting a phone to the telephone line. The micro filter is required to connect the router to and seperate it from the telphone side.

Plus hope you are not leaving the router on the Radiator, they do not like getting hot.
