Broadband is poor or doesn't work when I'm watching TV

4 green lights on our router at all times. But regularly, if we're watching sky TV or streamers via sky TV, broadband to our devices doesn't work.

Have ultrafast fibre 150mb, so bandwidth shouldn't ever be overloaded.

Anyone else had this or have any tips? We've had a sky tech vist6 twice and nothing has improved

@Nikog89 having fast speed to your hub does not mean that the connection from the hub to your TV will also be fast. Indeed issues with home wifi are one of the most common issues the forum helps with so if your TV is connected by wifi thst is the first place to look.

If your TV has the Netflix app go into thst and go to the Get Help, menu and run the network test. You need roughly 10Mb/s to watch HD streams and 30Mb/s for UHD. However bandwidth is only half the story the signal needs to be free from interference as well.

Before spending money you can often improve things by moving the hub onto a table or better a shelf so it is out in the open and signals are not blocked by other kit, furniture and radiators. If using a device like Sky's Stream pucks or a Firestick mske sure that isnt tucked in behind the TV especially if its wall mounted.also reboot your Sky hub so it finds the least congested wifi channel

After thst you may need to spend some money. If partical an ethernet cable from the streaming device to the hub is always the best solution. Failing thst you may need a wifi booster but these are a mixed blessing. Sky only supply those to customers who buy their boost bundle or whose Sky Q boxes sre losing connection. Thirs psrty boodters can make things worse. Powerline adapter kits can help as they use your home's mains wiring to carry the data. You can also buy Whole Home Wifi kits which you use instead of relying on the hub's wifi but these can get pricy..Sky have their own whole home solution called Sky Wifi Max which is not bsd but gets pricy at £7.50 a month but can supply up to 3 wifi extenders if a Sky engineer thinks you need them.

Hope that helps.
