Go ahead and order and don'g let 1000 Mbps put you off. You can order superfast speeds of 40 and 80 Mbps its just the method of delivery will change. Other speeds are 100, 150, 300, 500 Mbps and 1 Gbps

He needs broadband for work, Netflix & gaming so what would be the best minimum?

Hard to say netflix uhd with dolby can take 30-35 Mbps. Also does he download a lot of games. Personally ihave 100 Mbps with netflix uhd dolby vision and any games have been downloaded overnight . Start at 100-150 Mbps he can always upgrade
