Broadband install status messages restricted

Hi,

I have ordered sky full fibre broadband and know the install is not trivial as it involves Openreach. I've received several texts saying I can check for an update but the website says I can't access my messages as the site is restricted as I don't have any Sky products! Seems like a massive oversight to me...

Don't want to spend hours on the phone whilst at work so please advise how I can receive these updates?? Beginning to think the switch wasn't worth the hassle and may as well cancel...

Paul.

Re: Broadband install status messages restricted

I created a SkyID right after placing the order so assumed that was all that was required.

Having dug around I can see that the account number (found in an email) wasn't linked up so I did that and now all is OK. Not very friendly really... but sorted at least.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

Do you have an account number yet because if you do then you should be able to create a Sky ID to use to login to the website or app to read these messages.
