Broadband in new build house

Hi , I've moved into my new build house and my address is registered on royal mail postcode finder and it has an UPRN. But when I call broadband providers including Sky they keep telling me my address isnt registered when I believe it is.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Does the address return a result on the BT Wholesale lookup?

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome

Also, who is the developer?  Some choose to restrict access to Openreach circuits.

Re: Broadband in new build house

Thank you for sharing the link with me.

It says it can't determine broadband availability.

They are a small, private developer so I'm going to have to give them a call on Monday and try and find out.

There is a broadband cabling fitted in the house I just need a provider to connect to it

Re: Broadband in new build house

I don't know. The estate agent had told me Internet is connected to the house and a provider needs to connect to it. I need to contact the estate agent/developer on Monday and get more information on this

@D-Newbuildquery often developers do a deal with a network provider who connects up the development in return for exclusivity for some years so buyers cannot buy services from any other isp like Sky or EE during ggat period. Persimmons actually own their own  ISP and do this as a business.

Re: Broadband in new build house

Thanks for letting me know Chrisee though I doubt this has happened as it's a private developer who has built less than 10 houses

@D-Newbuildquery actually you maybe wrong as they often outsource this kind of thing. The address being in the post code database but not having an Openreach record could be just a timing issue but the presence of cables implies its not.

Re: Broadband in new build house

The developer should have an openreach newsites rep that they deal with who is required to visit and confirm completion which will create the gold address key needed for providers like sky to place an order

Re: Broadband in new build house

Is there any sign of an Openreach ONT or other networking anywhere? In new build these are now often tucked away in a cupboard.
