Broadband hub not been delivered in time

Hello, I already have a sky broadband hub and I've been upgraded but the activation date is today, I haven't received the new hub yet, it was supposed to be here Friday just gone, but royal mail still has it at sorting facility not even tried to deliver it yet, the only way I can make calls from my flat is through the WiFi as I have absolutely no signal as flats built into cliffs, my question is, will the activation be affected if I don't have my new box plugged in and will it affect my signal as I am already having signal issues since yesterday just need advice

@Kayles93 your activation shouldn't be affected as the router is not required for the process. However hopefully the hub will turn up by Friday - they are dispatched to arrive a day or so before activation dates. If it doesn't give Sky a call on Saturday as they wont be able to do anything until after the activation has taken place.
