Recently over the past couple of weeks my sky broadband thinks I'm in England when I'm actually based in Ireland.
Am I being given a UK ip address for some reason?
It is affected the content I stream, radio stations unavailable, being pushed to .co.uk instead of .ie websites etc.
How can I fix this?
And is there a way to stop it happening again?

Which hub do you have ?
Normally if you log unto your router interface and select maintenance. Then at the bottom of that page click connection status and click disconnect. Then after half an hour reconnect. You should now have a new ip address for the ROI

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
This didn't make any difference still connecting to UK.
I had previously turned everything off for a couple of hours too without success.
I have the sky broadband hub.

Possibly Sky Broadband is doing an internal reallocation of IP address blocks: these need to be registered against a country for geolocation to work, and there's a lag time in doing so.

AS5607 Sky UK Limited
This seems to suggest I'm in Dublin (which I am) but multiple over IP address searches I've used say I'm in Doncaster Uk

Its the asn that stipulates your isp and country. Per @TimmyBGood its possible that uk has passed spare ipv4 numbers and the ripe database hasn't caught up

So just wait and it should catch up?
Is the disconnect via logging into the hub any different than plugging everything out at the wall?
Because I've done that multiple times recently and nothing has caught up

Best to call sky ireland but their lines aren't open over the weekend. Tried to find sky irelands asn to no avail. So yup you could try disconnecting the hub until it doesn't show 5607 even up here in couny down google geo location can be hit or miss but asn hasn't changed.

Has anyone had this problem resolved? It's ridiculous that this is still happening. We can't get RTE radio, all our search results show up as UK, shopping shows sterling prices. It's very frustrating.
