Broadband engineer visit taking over a week

Hi, I've got an issue with an engineer turning up as I called the sky helpline on the 04/09 to book an engineer visit to fix my internet issue which they said they will turn up within 48 hours (which no one did) called multiple more times during the week to find out if anyone will arrive but the helpline employees are totally clueless the only bit of information I got is that a new engineer will be booked as the previous person which did the booking apparently didn't complete the application correct and information wasn't sent to openreach (the new enginners where suppose to turn up first by 09/09 and then by 13/09) I called again yesterday however I can't get any other details then you must wait another two days for them to turn up but knowing the two days no one will turn up again, the order tracking information is useless as all it says In progress - coming soon and the arrival time and date to be confirmed.

Is there any other way of getting any more information or a different helpline to call of when a engineer will actually arive or if they are even planning turn up as after being patient with sky for over a weeks time of sitting home day by day without internet waiting for someone to arrive i'm losing my hopes for sky help and think of switching to a different provider

@Basia unfortunately thec48 hour delay is standard from Openreach for domestic lines and Sky cannot over ride that however you should be compensated for the mess up see Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com

@Basia

Openreach don't work on domestic set ups at weekends and won't be working on BH Monday so Tuesday is now next available date.
