Broadband engineer - do i need him to come?
I just bought sky wifi and I belive the engineer option is automatic unless I missed a button when applying. Do I need them to come? My last wifi was easy to connect and I did it all myself, is the sky broadband any different? If I press to cancel the engineer will it just make me reschedule or is it possible just to get the box sent alone?
THANK YOU

The area might have been upgraded to fttp. What are you on at the minute ?
Could you enter your full address below and post the table and notes after removing your address from the image

Re: Broadband engineer - do i need him to come?
Before I was with NowTV but since im moving flat im changing. I think I got the Ultrafast one? If its just a box that needs plugged in surely I can do it myself. I just dont want to risk cancelling just to have to reschedule or pay a fee

Was that table for the new address?
Is there a fibre box already in place at the new address

Re: Broadband engineer - do i need him to come?
Ah, the notes make no mention of an existing ont so yes an engineer needs to attend to install a new ont.

Re: Broadband engineer - do i need him to come?
Just to give you advance warning the mention of L2C indicates that a specialist crew using a cherrypicker may need to attend as they can't securely attach a ladder the the wall so this may extend the activation date . Prepare for an even bigger BOOO

Re: Broadband engineer - do i need him to come?
Aye. Usually its because of cladding on walls which would not securely hold a ladder or its a listed building and openreach would not be allowed to bolt a ladder to the wall
